TERRY TUCKER - Owner/Principal
Terry has been in the Medicare health benefits business since 1993 when she began her career first as an agent for Humana, then Cigna. After a very successful sales career Terry was appointed Sales Manager for Intergroup (now HealthNet) and later became the Director of Sales for the entire state of Arizona.
In 2000 Terry joined PacifiCare (now UnitedHealthcare) as Area Sales Manager with responsibilities for both Arizona and Nevada. Terry helped build the SecureHorizons brand in the Southwest for almost 9 years winning numerous sales and marketing awards. Terry was also a key developer in the concept and implementation of a new and unique channel in broker distribution, the FMO. Additionally, while at UnitedHealthcare Terry was instrumental in the very successful development and continued growth of a captive broker distribution channel.
Terry is well known in the industry for not only her sales and marketing expertise, but also her personal involvement in the training and development of agents and brokers. A large number of brokers in the Arizona and Nevada markets have had direct experience with Terry and she remains an asset to all.
Family is always #1 with Terry, golf is a favorite hobby and Terry’s pride and joy are her two Labrador Retrievers, Reilly and Tucker.
DAN VINCENT - Owner/Principal
Dan’s previous background was in the pharmaceutical field in sales, marketing, and clinical management with a major international firm where he worked with physicians, hospitals, pharmacies, health plans and managed care organizations for over 30 years. In 2004 Dan retired/rewired and in 2007 was asked to join UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare Solutions Group as an Area Manager in Arizona. At UnitedHealthcare Dan helped consolidate the unit and build the independent career agent (ICA) broker network that ultimately became a national program.
In October 2009 Dan and Terry Tucker founded Med-Care Senior Insurance Solutions (MCSIS) as an independent brokerage specializing in Medicare health plan benefits, representing multiple carriers. Dan’s extensive experience in training and development, leadership and team-building, sales, marketing and managed care has been extremely helpful in building the company as well as to clients, carrier and brokerage partners, and individual brokers.
Dan currently serves in a variety of advisory roles for several carriers and organizations and is an active member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU).
Dan is passionate about family & friends, two Labrador Retrievers, golf, and a Harley Davidson.
TESSA VICENTE - Manager, Contracting Specialist
Tessa was born and raised in central New Mexico on a ranch in the middle of nowhere (honest). It was a town of 400 with not much to do but be around farming and ranching. Living in a small town was very different compared to city life. She managed to adjust to the big city when she attended Arizona State University, and is a recent graduate from the School of Letters and Sciences where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Communication. During college she was involved in Greek life and held various positions in her sorority holding the membership chair position for three consecutive years. It was during those three years that she found and was recognized for her strengths in organization, coordination, and presentation. Building on those strengths Tessa became an assistant to two different direct marketing sales directors, and now is currently at Med-Care Senior Insurance Solutions as the Contract Specialist. In this role, Tessa works with new and current brokers throughout the contracting process. She is also responsible for maintaining individual agents’ records ensuring we are compliant.
RONALD BETTNER - Manager, Systems and Lead Development
Ron graduated from the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs and is a decorated fighter pilot. After flying (F-4) Phantoms for the Air Force, Ron was an aerospace engineer in the space shuttle program, a NASA research pilot, an airline pilot for a major carrier and at the same time, built an international marketing business. He entered the financial services industry in 1990 as a Medicare sales rep and sales manager. His background includes positions in healthcare, insurance, professional copy-writing as well as investment and financial planning.
Ron brought his technology and relationship skills to Med-Care in 2012 with the goal of developing the systems and automation that would allow the agency to continue to grow without sacrificing the outstanding agent support that has been the trademark of Terry, Dan, and the Med-Care Team. His approach is simple. Look at every task important to the success of Med-Care and the agents they support, develop or refine the systems needed to complete those tasks to achieve the most benefit for everyone with the least effort and then work with the Med-Care team to make sure everything works together in the best way possible. Ron is succeeding and continues to contribute daily.
He has many passions but the two greatest are to find the best in every day and to pass on the the principles of success and knowledge he has acquired to like-minded students of constant and never ending improvement.
CONNIE MORENO - Office Administrator
Connie Moreno has been with Med-Care Senior Insurance Solutions since February of 2014, and is the Office Administration Manager. Prior to Med-Care, Connie worked in the construction industry performing various administrative duties in one form or another. First as an Office Manager for a reputable roofing consultant (1994 to 2003), then an Assistant Coordinator for a company specializing in repairing vacant foreclosed residential properties throughout the United States (2004 to 2006), and finally as an Office Manager of Operations for one of the largest roofing companies in the valley (2007 to 2013). Connie started her higher education at Phoenix College, and then in 1987, she graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Advertising. She comes to us with a diverse professional background, ranging from computer design artwork to the construction industry. Connie has amassed over 25 years of experience in the administrative field, and with her attention to detail and organizational skills, she is a nice addition to Med-Care. Connie spent her formative teen years growing up in South Dakota before her parents decided to head to the southwest. She has resided in the Valley of the Sun since 1979, a native by all accounts. If Connie has one passion, it is her family.
Connie is responsible for the following duties for Med-Care:
- Assistant to Terry Tucker and Dan Vincent
- Office administrative tasks (ie; mailings, faxing, tracking petty cash, ordering company business cards, etc.)
- Commission reconciliation and payments
- Employee payroll
- Design work for marketing flyers
TAYLOR MORENO – Manager - Finance and Facilities
Taylor is a 2016 graduate from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University where he achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. Taylor has lived his entire life in Arizona, which allowed him to play baseball year-round from a young age. Two passions in his life are baseball and numbers; through high school he excelled in all areas particularly mathematics. While being successful in the classroom, Taylor was also a 4-year varsity baseball player and received All-State player honors his senior year. It was during his time on the baseball field he gained valuable experience in teamwork, leadership, and accountability. The ‘fit’ he had with numbers and his performance in the classroom drove him to accept an academic scholarship at ASU. If life has taught Taylor one thing, it is that you must be willing to work hard for what you want.
In May of 2015, Taylor started with Med-Care as a finance intern helping with bookkeeping and finance duties a couple days a week. Taylor utilized his education and personal strengths to turn this internship into a full-time position after his graduation from ASU. Taylor is now the Finance & Social Media Director at Med-Care; this involves taking on more responsibility with the bookkeeping, monitoring the company finances, as well as managing the company's social media accounts. In addition, he oversees all carrier enrollment packets/materials while offering administrative and agent support.
ELYSE MICHAELS – Administrative Assistant
Elyse Michaels joined Med-Care Senior Insurance Solutions in August of 2016. Elyse currently works part-time providing administrative support.
Elyse grew up in New York and attended Lehman College. At 23, she moved to Los Angeles where she worked as an Executive Assistant to the President of SAFECO Title Insurance Company. Moving quite a bit due to her spouse’s career, she enjoyed living in some wonderful cities such as San Francisco, Seattle and Denver. In 1986, the family moved to Phoenix where Elyse was hired as the Administrative Manager and Executive Assistant to the President of Security Title Agency. In that capacity, she worked with the executive team to expand the company and amongst her other duties she supervised the build-out of branch offices.
Elyse has a great deal of administrative experience having worked with top tier executives for some leading companies. She was hired as an Assistant to the Division Vice President of Albertsons and worked closely with him and their merchandising team for eight years as they opened stores throughout Arizona and New Mexico. For the past 20 years, Elyse was an Executive/Personal Assistant to the CEO and Founder of a leading network marketing company in the Valley.
Elyse’s strengths are her people skills and organizational ability. She is responsible for various, general administrative tasks, supporting everyone on the Med-Care Team.
ERIC ARNOLD - Director of Sales & Marketing
Eric is the newest member of the Med-Care team and joined the company in 2017. A graduate of Michigan State University, Eric originally worked in the Gaming Industry throughout the United States and in Europe. His travels have taken him to casinos all over the country and the word including, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, San Diego and Greece. As the Casino Marketing Director, Eric has worked in the areas of marketing, sales, advertising, public relations and social media. Eric also owned bars and restaurants and brings the people skills he learned in his past to the team at Med-Care.
Eric is joining the Med-Care team at a time when the company is growing into new and exciting markets. Eric will be working closely with Dan and Terry to learn the core of the Med-Care business and to not only support our current agents, but to expand the agency throughout the United States. Eric will focus on making sure all our agents and clients are up to speed on the latest product offerings and that our services are being utilized to the fullest.
In addition to the current products Med-Care offers, Eric will begin to introduce other insurance vehicles for its agents to sell and guide them in choosing the right policies for their clients. Working with some of the top Insurance carriers in the United States will help Med-Care provide even more value to its agents and clients.
Eric is drawn to the friendliness and family like atmosphere that Med-Care offers to everyone it encounters on a daily basis. The positive nature of Terry and Dan and the knowledgeable staff at Med-Care provide a great place to work and grow. The adjustment to the Insurance business will be much easier than expected with the team at Med-Care always available for support and guidance. Tapping the knowledge that exists here at Med-Care is going to make Eric’s transition seamless.
Eric has led an exciting life and sites travel, fitness and sports as a few of his favorite things. Eric believes in living life to the fullest and never looking back…
